Five Radio Plays

This book contains scripts of five Radio Plays of Patrick’s which were broadcast on RTE Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4 between 1983 and 1998.

These Plays are easily adaptable for stage, as can be seen with the photos of the rehearsed reading done by The Dublin Shakespeare Society on November 13th 2021.

Five Plays are: An Irish Connection, Legal Matters, A Tattered Coat, Render Unto Caesar, The Last Post.

Render Unto Caesar was broadcast in June 1998 as part of Bloomsday celebrations. The Radio Times included it on Pick of the Day and Fiona Sturges in London Independent recommended it as one to listen to. It is a dark comedy detailing the tensions between a local community and the church when a sum of money goes missing..
